Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries, knots and or trigger points.

Swedish
Swedish Massage combines an array of long strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relaxation, blood and lymph circulation, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Hot Stone
Hot stone massage utilizes heat to soften fascia and create vasodilation. (The widening of capillaries for better exchange from blood to tissues) Stone are heated to 110 degrees and used in place of the therapists hands during the massage. Mostly moved in rhythmic strokes but are some times left to sit on certain spots such as along the spine or over knots to soften them.

Cupping
Cupping is an ancient technique from Asia. It involves the use of suction or “Negative Pressure” to draw blood, lymph and vital nutrients to an effected area helping it heal and detox. It involves sets of stationary and rhythmically gliding cups on the skin. This modality is great for helping scar tissue heal and moving “water” blood and lymph under the skin. Feels like the relief of a deep tissue massage without the heavy pressure.

Lymphatic Massage
Lymphic drainage massage is a very light touch massage modality aimed at promoting the circulation of lymph in the body.

- Therapist reserve the right to refuse any clients under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Payment is acceptable by cash, Visa, Master card, Discover and American Express. I do not currently accept personal checks or money order.
- La-Ray Massage is a non-sexual massage practice. Sexual behavior in any form will not be tolerated and will result in ending the massage immediately.
- All clients will be properly draped at all times during the massage.
- La-Ray Massage currently does not accept any insurances as payment.
- La-Ray Massage also asks that all clients arrive with good hygiene and cleanliness.
- La-Ray Massage does accept gratuities, however referrals are the greatest compliment for the business.
- La-Ray Massage reserves the right to cancel and or reschedule a massage if clients health condition contradicts massage in any form.
- La-Ray Massage respectfully ask that you provide me with a 24 hour notice of any changes or cancellation requests. Please understand that when you cancel or miss your appointment without providing a 24 hour notice I am often unable to fill that appointment time. This is an inconvenience to your therapist and also means my other clients miss the chance to receive services they need. For this reason, you will be charged $20 for the missed session. I also reserve the right to require a credit card number to be given to book future appointments so that appropriate fees may be charged if a late cancellation does occur. I understand that emergencies can arise and illnesses do occur at inopportune times. If you have a fever, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea with 24 hours prior to your appointment time, I request that you cancel your session. Inclement weather may also result in the need for late cancellations. I will do my best to give you advanced notice if I’m closing or need to cancel due to bad weather and I ask that you do the same. Please do not risk your own safety trying to make your appointment. Late cancellation due to emergency, illness, or inclement weather will generally not result in any missed session charges, but this is determined on a case- by-case bias.
